There were pre'eat Nayor E.U. lee and all members of the Council. <br />Neeting called.to order by the Mayor. <br /> <br /> As per the call, bids were opened for the construction of a ~ement sidewalk <br />.in front Of Lot l, Block. 10, ?alrmount, as follows: <br /> N~ls Jorge son $105.45 <br /> P.A. NeIso~ 88 80 <br /> W.W.B. Coast. Co. 83.25 - <br /> Said bids were referred to the Street Committee for rePort and it '.recommended <br /> the bid of the W.W.B. Coast. Co. at $53.25 and, on motion, the report of such <br /> committee was approved. <br /> <br /> As per the cal~, bids were opened for the construction of a cement s~dewalk <br />in Front of Lot l, Block 15, College Hill Park Addition, as follows: <br /> Nels Jorgenson $57.00 <br /> P. A. Nelsor~ 54.00 <br />Said bids were referred to the Street Co~lttee for report ~nd it reco~nended the <br />bid of P.A. neison ab $54.00, ~d, on motion, the report of such eo~lttee was <br />approv ed. <br /> <br /> As pep the call, bids w~re opened for the construction of a cement sidewalk <br />in front of Lot 7, Block 31, i~airmount, as follows: <br /> Nels Jergenson ~ $108 56 <br /> P.A. Nelson 106 08. <br />Said bids were refer~ed to the Street Co~mnlttee for report and it recommended the <br />bid of P A Nelson at $106.08 and, on motion such rePort was adopted. <br /> <br /> As per the call bids w~re opened for .the construction of.a Storm Se,,~er on <br />Madison ~treet from 14th Avenue to the Amazon, as follows: <br /> Naurice Narquiss $618.50 <br /> C. U'. NcKy 608.25 <br /> Oscar Snow 745.00 . <br />Said matter was referred to the Sewer 8ommlttee for report and it recommended sun <br />bids be rejected and the Recorder,re-advertise for bids. -On motion such report <br />was unanimously adopted. <br /> <br /> As per the ea~l, bids w~re opened for the construction of a sewer on the <br />North side of llth Avenue from the alley east. of Willamette St. to the alley <br />west of Willamette Street, as follows: <br /> Mau, rlce Marqulss $2170 O0 <br /> Oscar Snow 2000.00 <br />Said matter was '~'eferred to the Sewer Committee for -report and it recommended <br />such bids be rejected and the ~.eeorder re-advertise for bids. On motion such <br />report was unanimously ~lopted. <br /> <br />As per the call bids were opened for the construction of a bridge over the <br /> <br />.a~mazo2 on Olive Street, as follows: <br /> Naurlce Narquiss <br /> Hargreaves and Llndsay <br /> H~ynes Bros. <br /> L.P. Harmon <br />Said matter was referred to the Stre~ <br /> <br /> $256o.oo . <br /> 26005 OO <br /> 258 . O0 <br /> 5090.00 <br />Cmm~lttee for ~eport and it recommended <br /> <br />suci~ bids be rejected and the Recorder re-advertise fo'~ 6ide. On motion such <br />report was unanimously adopted. <br /> <br />Altho bids were called for, none were recelve~ for the ~onstrue~loa of a bridge <br />over the Amazon on Charnelton StEeet and over the Mil1 race on Alder Street.- <br /> <br /> This being the return d~te for protests on the report of the vl~vers on <br />the proposed opening of Potter Str~et from 23rd to 25th Avenues, J.~.Blanton <br />appeared and protested and other interested parties were present and spoke. <br />After discussion the matter ~as referred back to the vle~vers for an s~idltlonal <br />report. <br /> <br /> A letter of appreciation from Springfield was read for the use of our, fire <br />truck by that city at a recent fire. <br /> <br /> A claim of $5.00 was received from Ny. Boyce for a dan~e to his auto tire <br />on account o~ a hole in the street. The matter was referred to Oscar Snow for <br />p aym eat. <br /> <br /> D~.,l.M.Miller appeared relative to the proposed widenln.~ of Alder Street <br /> <br /> <br />
