The mlm~tes of ?ebruary 14th, <br />and Met. 28th, 192'7, reef and approved. <br /> <br /> C I Good appeared and, stated the City had constructed a sewer across his <br />property in connection with the sewer system between WiLl,motto and Oak Streets, <br />from 17th to 19th A~enues and protested its use without settlement. No offlo <br />action was taken. <br /> <br /> L.~.Barker appeared and inquired as to thepetltlon to paveVth Avenue from <br />High Street east to the Nil1 race. The Street Cmr~ulttee was instructed to re- <br />por~ at the new me~tlng of bhe Council aa to s~ld petition. <br /> <br /> Bids were opened for the purchase of $5000.00 Public Jo,~ort Station bonds, <br />as. Follows: <br /> <br />Geo. H. Burr, C,~nrad and Broom <br /> <br />Lumb ermans Trust <br /> <br />) Par and accrued interest and interest at <br /> 5~ Per annum payabl~ semi-annually and <br />) a premium of $24.60. per thousand. <br /> <br />) Par and accrued l~terest and interest at <br />) 5',~ Per annum, Payable semi-annually and <br />) a Premium of .57 per hundred. <br /> <br />John H. C. mathews $2275.00 <br /> Wllfert Sand and Gravel. 1835.65 ' <br />Said bids were referred to the Street Committee for report at %he next meeting <br />of ~he Council. <br /> <br />Bids were opendd as per the call for paving Almaden Street from 5th to'6th <br /> <br />Avenues, as fo].kows: <br /> Oscar Snow <br /> W.W. fiend Jonst. O0 <br /> <br />Said bids we,re refe red to the Street Committee for report and it recommended <br />the bid of Wllfert Sand and Gravel Co. at $31!2.00. On motion, such report <br />was adopted and the Mayor and Recordar were authorized to enter into a contract <br />with th.e successful bidder for such oo~'raet work. <br /> <br /> Bids were opened asper the call for the construction ,of a storm sewer <br />com~nenclng at the Amazon Slough where Almaden Street, if produced south would <br />Intersect the Slough, running thence to 13th ~venue, thence east on 13th ' <br />Avenue to Taylor Street, thence north on Taylor Street to 10th Ave. as follows: <br /> Stle~ Bros. $11,179.45 <br /> <br />Oscar Sm w <br />W.W. Head Const. Jo. at $10,1~2.44. On motion, such report was <br />adopted and the Mayor and ~ecorder were authorized to enter into a contract <br />with the successful bidder for such contract work. <br /> <br /> The Mayor spoke la the question of t.he Mire Department answering ea, lls <br />outside the City Limits sad the matter was discussed, The matter was referred <br />to the Mire and-Water Committ~e and the Mire Chief to report at the next <br />meeting of the CounciL. <br /> <br /> <br />
