Co. at <br />$1090.30 be paid for paving· of .the alley between ~eral~ ~d Beech Sts. from <br />13th to 14th Aves, 0n motion such recommendation w~ unanimously ~optcd. <br /> <br /> The Finance Committee recommended the estimate of W.W.Head'Coust. Co., at <br />$3689.42 be paid for paving of 22n& Avenue from Willamette to NcNlllan Sts. On <br />motion such recommendation was adopted. <br /> <br /> The Street Co~n~_lttee 'reported on the. two. petitions, one to o~1 and the other <br /> to pave certain n~med Streets in 'the northeast part of the .city, stating each <br /> has a majority of front footage signed, and recommending the same be sent back <br /> to the petitioners to ge~ their wishes. The matter wa~ ten discussed. Ralph <br /> Martin and Idaho Campbell spoke on the question. On motion such report w~ ~opted. <br /> <br /> The matter of the fire hazar4ou$ condition of the parking bn Vllla.rd Street <br />was discussed. No action was taken. . <br /> <br /> The HealtN Committee reporte4 it finds the city has no jurlsdlctlon over <br />the matter of ~umping garbage across the river ~ad no action waS taken on the <br />letter receive4 from the State Board of HealtH. <br /> <br />The Prlnt~xg Committee made no report. <br /> <br /> The Sewer C°~n~!ttee offer~ the following resolution, which was unalimously <br />a~opt ed: <br /> <br />..RESOLUTION. <br /> <br /> Be It ResoLve~ by the Co,non Council of the City of Eugene, that the City <br />of Eugene repair the Polk Street sewer outlet in the Will anette River. <br /> <br /> Be I,t B'urther resolvet, that the City Engineer immediately prepare l~l~ns <br />an~[ specifications for such improvement work, and the City Recorder advertise <br />for compet~tive bids for s~ch~ Improvement work. <br /> <br /> Be It Further resolved, that the said work be done by the city and that <br />the $~me be paid for from the sewer fun~. <br /> <br /> Th· Sewer Co~ittee ~ecommended the City Engineer prepare plans and <br />specifications for The 24th Avenue Storm sewer from University to Alder Sts. <br />On motion such repgrt ~a~ a~opted. <br /> The matter ef the petition for a se. erin Vlctorim Heights was carried over. <br /> <br /> The Mayor ordered the City Engineer to make ~d file an estimate of the <br />,~;ost of constructing am additional outlet for'the Polk Street Sewer to exten~ <br /> <br /> <br />
