The Sewer Committee offered the following resolution, which was unanimous- adopted: RESOLUTION. Be It Re.solved, by the C9~m.non. CoUncll of the City of DAgene,.that the City of ~gene construct, a Storm Sewer. on 24th Avenue from Univer slim to Alder St~., thence South on Alder Street to 25th Avenue, thence west to the .Amazon Slough. Be It ~urther Resolved, that the City Enginee~ lmmsdlately pnepare plans and. specifications for retch improvement work md the City,Recorder ~ivertlse for ~ompetitlve bids .for such improvement work. Be It 2urther Resolved, that the said work be done by the city and that the same be paid for' fro.m the Trunk Sewer Pm.nd. The 'Police Committee r. eported the outlying districts are getting pratt, lc.ally no poll~ce ProtectiOn owing to lack o.f patrolmen and asked the council to keep such matter in mind between now and the time of the Budget meeting to see if additional men e~not be procure~ for such sea, ice. ~The Hayer stated the Nil1 race. is la ~ condition on account of s.ew%~e dumping into it and referred such matter to the Holath Committee and the City Engineer to report at the next meetlng of. the Council.
