Whereas, the~ity of .Eugene, acting b~ and through its Water Board, purchas- ed Certain second Liberty Loan bonds to the amount of Fifteen ThoL~and Dollars ($15;,900), from funds belonging to the Department cf Light end Water of the Olty of Eugene/ said bonds being bonds of the United States of Amc'rice, sad Whereas, the said 'Water Board, having control of said bonds, sad Where&s,. said Board desires to sell and dispose, o'f. the s~ne for the reason that the United States ~-A~verument has called the sane for r~lemptlon, and Whereas, the City Water Board had requested that the Cmmnon Court ~ll of the City of k)~ene, authorize the said Water Board to sell end dispose of said bonds at the best price obtainable.
