I have not heretofore asked for ~uoh hearing for the
reason I though perhap'3 there might be some Court aot~on instituted whereby the
whole fact would be called ~or, but it appears at this time such action is not
_liable to be started and it further appears to me the wholematters is one betwee~x
the Bonding Comps.ny and Re~/], in which the City, the U.S.national ~ank and the
public are in no manner interested and for those reasons I see no way in which
th~ facts the public ask for can be 'produced tn any action contemplated.

I, therefore, most respeo, tfully a~k that the Mayor appoint a Commission of
three residenbs of the City who are not in any manner connected with the City to
take testimony pertaining to the transaction i~ the Recorders office on November
~0, 1925, irt which Geo. W. Read cm~e inpossessio~ of City. warrants to the amount
of $1~696.28 for the improvement of Onyx Street before such wafter{ts were releas-
ed by the Dxglneers Department for delivery, and ~h~t the time, s.nd place and mea-
ner of such hearing be arranged for by the Council

Respectfully submitted.

Geo.
