<br />op~nlng of Ferry Street near 3rd Av~,nue East 'a~d asked that the city take an
<br />appeal from the decision of the Circuit Court to the Supreme Court, said Circuit
<br />Co~rt decision berg adverse to tBe city. Said matter was referr~ to the
<br />Judlcla~'y Co~itt~e, for report.

<br /> Several p~ople appeared re[ativ~ to the proposed peddlers ordinanc~ and
<br />spoke an~ a pe%~ ~)n was presented and filed asking no ch~ge ia the
<br />made to out out the Notor Store on Wheels~' now operatl,g, and ether petitions
<br />,~ere presented egalnst'the continuance of such "Notor Stores" as injustices to
<br />the eth~r stores. Nesters. ,,ray, Hall, Sawyer and ethers spoke, a~l the matter
<br />was ~ull~ discussed. The tentative Peddlers ordinance was then discussed and
<br />the Judiciary Cor~ittee reco~ended the ProPosed ordinance be [aid ou the table.

<br /> The Street Committee railed attention to the =m 11 tract o
<br />.%,d Villard Streets belonging to the S.P. ~y. Co. but used for street purposes
<br />and asked that the same be paved with "black top" to connect such two streets as
<br />paved. On motio~ such request was granted and the Street Com'~tssioner directed
<br />to do such work.

<br /> The Street Committ~e also took up the matter of the protest of A.L. Ball
<br />being assessed for the curb on 13th Avenue, which was put in and paid for several
<br />j~ears ago. 0n motion, the ~ount of such assessment covering the curb to the a-
<br />mou~t of $6.48 was ordered re-bated.

<br /> The Judiciary Committee to which was referred the olalm for damages of Clara
<br />Romane, Peaommended ,~uci~ claim be allowed. On motion, such RepoPt was adopted.
<br />
<br /> Aerial permits were issued to P.0.Longworth at 745 19th Ave. E. one to
<br />Lon~vorth at !~68 Alder St. and one to W.G. Judkins at 1366 Colubmia Street.

<br /> A permit was issued to A..~.Cook for a rooml~g hen.se at 508 Willamette
<br />Street and one to Nary C NcKeeney for a rooming house gt 5yl Willamette Street.

<br /> A bid was presented ~$ C.A. Korton to mldit the books for theyear ~925, for
