Herod.the report of <br />the Street Committee be aPProved. The roll wes called, all present votin!; aye, <br />abse~t and no~ voting ?ugh and Lamb. Noved the report of the Street 'Committee <br />be approved. The rol~ was called, a~ o?e~ent voting aye, absent and net vot- <br />ing Rugh. and .Lamb. Snell appeared and ~equested on 'behalf of Roy LaPorte that the City <br />release the street ~ssessment on the back 60 ~eet of the Property located at <br />24th Avenue~and Agate Street in com, ect ion wl~h the ~gat~ Street assessment and <br />place the whole assessment on the 'front 100 Feet ef such property. 0~% advice <br />of the City Attorney, such request was denied. <br /> <br /> Elme~ Rakeff appeared and asked the elty to accept from him and his <br />associates without cost of the city a deed for street purposes to Emerald Street. <br />as extended from 23rd to 24th Avenues and also to 2,$th Aveau~ as extended from <br />the alley between Onyx affd '~rald Streets east to the west line o~ the LePorte <br />Property located on ~ate gtreet. 0~% motion such ofF~'~ ',~as accepted and the <br />City ~giaee~' was instructed to survey the areas of s~eh streets ~.d describe <br />the same am% the City Attorney ~vas lnstm~eted to prepare deeds for such ~urpos~s. <br /> <br /> Mr.A.G. Brauer appeared end protested to~the paving of 14th Avenue From <br />Willamette to Aider/Streets at this time. ' A~ter discusslo~n, the Stro.~t <br />Co~mittee recommende~d 's~ch petition be denied and the sam. retur.a~d t) the <br />petitioners for ~dditloaal names. On mot ion, such report was unanimously adopt- <br />ed. <br /> <br /> A petition was received to pave Oak Street from 13th Avenue to 14th Avenue. <br />Such rna'tier was referred to the Street Co~mmittee. <br /> <br /> A petition was received to pave 9th .~venue fr~ Van Buven to Atmade~ Streets. <br />~uch matter was referred to the Street Committee. <br /> <br /> A pet. ition ~am received to pave Jackson Street from llth to 12th Avenues. <br />Such matter was re~erred to the Street Co;nmittee. <br /> <br /> A petition wa~ received to pave commencing' at the intersection of 23rd <br />Avenue and South Moss Street, thence following south Ness Street to the inter- <br />section of Mission Avenue of the 21fsi. Addition% to Fairmount Heights, thence <br />along Mission Avenue to the present City Limits. Such matter ~as referred to <br />'the Street Committee. <br /> <br /> A petitloa was received for the re, nova! of the Bangs st~bles on Alder <br />Street. between l§th and 16th Avenues a~ being l.as~nl'tary. Said matter was, <br />on motion, referr~i to the Chief. of Police for attention. <br /> <br /> A Petition was received for a street light' at the co~ner of 2.0th Average <br />and Lawrence Street. Said matter was r~f~rred to the Fire and Water Committee. <br /> <br /> <br />
