ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 530402 of the City Manager City of Eugene, Oregon ADOPTION OF THE "CITY OF EUGENE PLANT MATERIALS LIST." The City Manager of the City of Eugene finds that: A, Under the provisions of Chapter IV, Section 16 of the Eugene Charter of 2002, the City Manager is designated as the administrative head of the Clty~ and is specifically authorized to appoint and remove all employees (except as otherwise provided in the Charter), and to enforce ail ordinances of the City. B. Some development activities require compliance with landscaping provisions of Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971 ("EC Chapter 9"). In order to ensure that the plants or trees will thrive in this area and meet the standards of EC Chapter 9, Section 9.6207, provides that all required plants and trees be selected from the City of Eugene Plant Materials List approved by the City Manager. C. City staff, with cooperation from landscape professionals within the community, has compiled a schedule of Canopy Trees, Shrubs, Groundcovers, Vines, and Under-Story Trees reflecting the botanical name and common name Ibr each, and has recommended its adoption as the City of Eugene Plant Mater/als List. I have reviewed the list and concur with the staff's recommendation. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Manager of the City of Eugene orders and directs that: 1, Based on the above findings, which are hereby adopted, the City of Eugene Plant Materials List attached hereto as Exhibit A is approved as of the effective date of this order. 2. The City Recorder is directed to forward a copy of this Order, including its exhibik to the City's Plamling & Development Department, Building & Permit Services Division, and that Division is requested to make copies available to all City departments, divisions, and personnel authorized or required to review applications that require the installation o f landscaping or trees.
