Now, <br />THE CITY of EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS <br />Section 1 , Eased upon the above findings , and the findings <br />contained in the Metropolitan -Area Genera. Plan, which are incor- <br />porated herein by reference, and upon the hearing - bef ore this <br />Council, the updated Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan Area General. <br />Plan (Metro Plan) , - including the text, diagrams and maps set forth <br />therein, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein <br />by reference, is hereby adopted as the me tropo 1 i tan plan for the <br />City of Eugene, replacing the Eugene- Springf ield Metropolitan Area <br />1990 General Plan which was adopted on March 27, 1972 <br />Section 2, That the matters contained herein concern the pub- <br />lic welfare and safety,. and in order for the Land Conservation. and <br />Development Commission - to consider the City 1 s request for an amended <br />acknowledgment of compliance,' including establishment of an urban <br />growth boundary at the earliest possible time it is necessary for <br />this Ordinance to be irmnediately effective; therefore, an emergency <br />is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall be effective <br />immediately upon its passage by the City Council and approval by <br />the Mayor. <br />Passed by the City Council this <br />ay of UVA V 1980 <br />C.(�+�wt� Cit Recorder <br />Ordinance - 2 <br />Approved by the Mayor this <br />ay of 1980 <br />ayor <br />
