(4) Setbacks: All structures that house farm animals shall be located at least 25 <br />feet from all existing residences (except the animal owner's) and at least 10 feet <br />from interior lot lines. <br />(5) Minimum Lot Size and Area for Large Animals: <br />(a) Minimum lot size of 20,000 square feet for cows, horses, sheep, goats, <br />emus, and llamas. <br />(b) Minimum area per animal over 6 months of age: <br />Cows, horses: 10,000 square feet <br />Sheep, goats, emus, and llamas: 5,000 square feet <br />9.5300 Homeless Shelter Standards <br />(1) Expansion of the existing homeless shelter in existence on January 1, 1984 shall <br />be limited to the area defined by the railroad tracks on the north, Chambers <br />Connector on the west, from 600 feet of the shelter's development site boundary <br />existing on January 1, 1984 on the east, provided, however, that those lots <br />identified as Tax Lot 3400 on Assessor's Map 17- 04- -25 -42 and Tax Lot 7200 <br />on Assessor's Map 17- Q4 -25 -41 shall not be used for housing or residential <br />purposes by the shelter, and the east -west alley between 1 st and 2nd Avenues on <br />the south. <br />(2) The current shelter shall be limited to providing housing for no more than 404 <br />persons per right. The limit of 400 shall include both single adults and family <br />members, in a ratio to be determined by the shelter at its sole discretion. This <br />provision is expressly intended not to limit the shelter's ability to provide <br />temporary housing above the capacity limit in emergency situations for short <br />periods of time. The shelter's infirmary beds are not to be included in, or <br />affected by, this capacity limit. <br />(3) The standards in this section do not apply to emergency housing shelters <br />established or expanded due to flood, earthquake, or other natural disasters. <br />9.5350 Home Occupation Standards. Except for garage sales lasting no more than 3 <br />consecutive days no more than 3 times in a year, and day care facilities, which are <br />exempt, home occupations in all residential zones shall be subject to the following <br />standards: <br />(1) <br />(Z) <br />(3) <br />(a) <br />The home occupation shall be incidental to the dwelling's residential use. <br />There shall be no more than 1 non - illuminated sign permitted per each home <br />occupation with a maximum limit of 2 signs per dwelling, consisting of a <br />maximum of 1 %2 square feet in surface area per sign.
