2. Parking area driveway entrances, except at alleys, shall be provided <br />with a landscape strip at least 7 feet in width, measured from the <br />outside edges of 6 inch wide curbs, and the full length of the parking <br />stall, between the entry drive and the parking area to heighten <br />entryway visibility and improve parking area circulation. Entrance <br />driveway landscape strips shall be landscaped according to the <br />standards in EC 9.6210(2) Low Screen Landsca a Standard (L -2) <br />except the height of the low screen within vision clearance area shall <br />not exceed 18 inches. (See Figure 9.6420(3)(c)2. Parking Area <br />Landscaping Along a Driveway Entrance.) <br />(d) Perimeter Parking Area Landscaping <br />1. Along the perimeter of the parking area, except for developments <br />within a /TD overlay zone, a landscape strip, at least 7 feet in width, <br />measured from the outside edge of a 6 inch wide curb, shall be <br />provided. The landscape strip may be pierced by pedestrian and <br />vehicular accessways. where abutting lots share parking and/or <br />loading areas, the perimeter of these shared areas shall be considered <br />the outside of the functional areas. Perimeter landscaping shall not be <br />required along the interior lot lines of the 2 lots that are sharing <br />parking and/or loading areas. <br />2. On development sites 22,000 square feet or larger with a /TD overlay <br />zone, parking lots abutting an interior lot Ime, other than an alley, <br />shall provide a landscape strip, at least S feet in width measured from <br />the outside edge of a 6 inch wide curb, between the property line and <br />the parking area. Development sites less than 22,000 square feet with <br />the /TD overlay zone are not required to provide perimeter parking <br />area landscaping. <br />3. All parking areas shall provide perimeter landscaping according to the <br />following standards: <br />a. Parking areas adjacent to property that is zoned residentially shall <br />provide perimeter landscaping along interior yards according to <br />EC 9.6210(3) High Screen Landscape Standard (L -3). Where <br />loading areas abut property zoned residentially, a barrier shall be <br />provided between the 2 uses according to EC 9.6210(4) High Wall <br />Standard (L -4). <br />b. Parking areas adjacent to property that is not zoned residential <br />shall provide perimeter landscaping according to EC 9.6210(2) <br />Low Screen Landscape Standard (L -2). <br />(e) Interior Parkin; Area Landscaping. <br />1. In addition to the landscaping required in subsections (c) and (d), <br />landscaping shall be provided within the interior of surface parking <br />areas for 50 or more motor vehicles so as to: <br />a.
