Participants - Parties to the application included City of Eugene, City of Springfield, Lane <br />County, Lane Transit District, Lane Council of Governments, Metropolitan Planning <br />Organization, Oregon Department of Transportation, Housing and Community Services Agency <br />of Lane County, the University of Oregon Sustainable Cities Initiative, and St. Vincent de Paul <br />Society of Lane County. Eugene Water & Electric Board and Emerald People’s Utility District <br />subsequently agreed to join the consortium. <br /> <br />Next Steps - As proposed to HUD, this project will be led and managed by the Lane Council of <br />Governments and supported with grant funds through the HUD Sustainable Communities Grant. <br />The LLC supporting this grant needs to be formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding <br />(MOU). Once the MOU is completed, there are multiple opportunities to further shape the <br />outcomes of this project. <br /> <br />The most current version of the MOU is attached. It is important to note that the contents of the <br />MOU are still being revised and changes will continue to be made as questions and issues arise <br />with different portions of the agreement. Some issues raised during the May 26, 2011, Joint <br />Elected Officials Meeting have already been addressed in the contents of the new MOU. <br /> <br /> <br />RELATED CITY POLICIES <br />The project seeks to build on the strengths of existing regional plans as well as plans specific to <br />participating jurisdictions and agencies.
