CITY MANAGER’S RECOMMENDATION The City Manager has no recommendation on this item; the appointments are made by the council. SUGGESTED MOTIONS Budget Committee There are four vacancies on the Budget Committee, including one expiring term. Two of the applicants received seven votes and they are both nominated for three-year terms. Two other candidates received six votes each; council will need to determine their place in the remaining vacancies. City Council President: I move to appoint Ken Beeson to Position 1 on the Budget Committee, for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2011, ending on June 30, 2014. Roll Call Vote City Council President: I move to appoint Chelsea Clinton to Position 2 on the Budget Committee for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2011, and ending on June 30, 2014. Roll Call Vote City Council President: I move to appoint Laura Illig or Mark Rust - choose one to Position 5 on the Budget Committee, an unexpired term ending on June 30, 2013. Roll Call Vote City Council President: I move to appoint Laura Illig or Mark Rust – choose one to Position 7 on the Budget Committee, for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2011, ending on June 30, 2014. Roll Call Vote Human Rights Commission There are eight vacancies on the Human Rights Commission. Six applicants received five or more votes to appoint or reappoint and their names are reflected in the nominations below.
