<br />Councilor Clark commended the volunteer service of Ms. Miller, a past chair of the Police Commission.

<br />Councilor Taylor, seconded by Councilor Brown, moved to appoint Thomas Carmichael
<br />to Position 1, an industry representative on the Toxics Board, for an unexpired term
<br />ending on June 30, 2013.
<br />Councilor Poling expressed disappointment that the council received so few applicants for its boards and
<br />commissions positions. However, he would support the recommended names. Councilor Poling
<br />encouraged citizens to become involved and apply.
