• Work - related decision that results in serious injury or death to any person. <br />*NOTE: Police /Fire /EMS responses often expose City employees to emergency <br />situations that would be considered traumatic by non - Police /Firel EMS <br />personnel. It will be left to the discretion of the supervisor and the involved <br />employee(s) as to whether the specific incident(s) suggest that an EAP referral is <br />in order. <br />Policy Procedure: <br />The following procedures are mandatory when a City of Eugene employee experiences <br />a traumatic incident as defined above. <br />A. The employee's supervisor will contact the employ as soon as possible after <br />the incident to describe the professional, confidenti �es provided.
