At the open house, <br />copies of the plan as well as large versions of the maps will be available for review. <br />Comment forms will be provided and City staff will be on hand to answer questions <br />and take note of public comments. <br /> <br />As mentioned in last week’s newsletter, City staff is seeking input on this draft plan <br />through Oct. 14. The plan can be found at www.eugenepedbikeplan.org where <br />feedback is also being accepted. Staff will present the plan to the City Council on <br />Wednesday, Oct. 12. <br /> <br />Please contact Transportation Planning Manager Rob Inerfeld at 541-682-5343 or <br />rob.inerfeld@ci.eugene.or.us with any questions. <br /> <br />Energy Upgrades Underway at Echo Hollow and Sheldon Pools <br />In 2010, the City partnered with the Energy Trust of Oregon to analyze and identify energy saving measures at Echo <br />Hollow and Sheldon pools. The measures with the greatest energy savings and shortest payback periods were <br />incorporated into a construction project currently underway at the pools. <br /> <br />The energy saving measures being implemented at each pool include <br />the following: <br /> <br /> Lighting – high efficiency fluorescent and LED fixtures <br /> <br /> Automated pool blankets – insulate/reduce evaporation, easier <br />and safer to use <br /> <br /> Optimal pool building ventilation – improve air quality and <br />achieve energy savings <br /> <br /> HVAC controls - recalibrate and program for energy <br />optimization <br /> <br /> Sheldon Pool solar water heating system - recalibrate existing <br />system for energy optimization <br /> <br />EUGENE CITY COUNCIL NEWSLETTER PAGE 1 <br />September 22, 2011 <br /> <br />
