<br />PHASE III CLIMATE CHANGE PLANNING <br />TASK 4.0 Reducing Transportation Sector GHG Emissions <br />Task 4.1 Data & Modeling <br /> Purpose To assess and , obtain and implement the data, develop and the <br />modeling tools, and research the equity and public health <br />considerations related to reducing Greenhouse Gas (GHG) <br />emissions, and the development of scenario planning <br />methodology, GHG Production Strategies, and Regional Decision- <br />Making models.necessary to conduct planning to reduce <br />transportation sector GHG emissions within the MPO region. To <br />train local and MPO staff as needed to use modeling and other <br />technological tools for GHG planning purposes. <br /> Goal(s) Ensure compliance with section 38 of Oregon SB 1059.To <br /> <br /> <br />develop a regional strategy which can be used in planning to <br />address Greenhouse Gas production within the MPO and larger <br />region as required. <br /> Activities Inventory of needed data, identified data sources, and data <br />acquisition plan. Development of appropriate modeling tools. Staff <br />training programs.
