f. Use natural and simple mechanical treatment systems to provide treatment <br /> for potentially contaminated runoff waters; <br /> <br /> g. Reduce street-related water quality and quantity problems; <br /> <br /> h. Regulate use and require contaimnent and/or pretreatment of toxic <br /> substances; <br /> <br /> Include containment measures in site review standards to minimize the <br /> effects of chemical and petroleum spills; and <br /> <br /> j. Consider impacts to ground water quality in the design and location of dry <br /> wells. <br /> <br />G. 15 Implement changes to stormwater facilities and management practices to reduce <br /> the presence of pollutants regulated under the Clean Water Act and to address the <br /> requirements of the Endangered Species Act. <br /> <br />G. 16 Consider wellhead protection areas and surface water supplies when planning <br /> stormwater facilities. <br /> <br />G.17 Manage or enhance waterways and open stormwater systems to reduce water <br /> quality impacts from runoff and to improve stormwater conveyance. <br /> <br />G. 18 Include measures in local land development regulations that minimize the amount <br /> of impervious surface in new development in a manner that reduces stormwater <br /> pollution, reduces the negative affects from increases in runoff, and is compatible <br /> with Metro Pla~ policies. <br /> <br />G. 19 The cities and Lane County shall adopt a strategy for the unincorporated area of <br /> the urban growth boundary to: reduce the negative effects of filling in floodplains <br /> and prevent the filling of natural drainage channels except as necessary to ensure <br /> public operations and maintenance of these channels in a manner that preserves <br /> and/or enhances floodwater conveyance capacity and biological function. <br /> <br />G.20 Maintain flood storage capacity within the floodplain, to the maximum extent <br /> practical, through measures that may include reducing impervious surface in the <br /> floodplain and adjacent areas. <br /> <br />Services to Development Within the Urban Growth Boundary: Electricity <br /> <br />Findings <br /> <br />24.
