Mr. Rexius noted that in the second paragraph under Solutions, the Oregon Enterprise Zone program offered a three to five year property tax exemption rather than a three year exemption. Page 17 Ms. Pierce suggested rewording the last sentence under Concluding Comments so that it did not contain the phrase "something like consensus." Ms. Teninty suggested and received support to remove the last sentence in the fourth paragraph under Concluding Comments. After considerable discussion about whether to include a list of issues that the committee thought were important but were not able to address, the committee agreed that the final report should first list the committee's recommendations followed by the guiding principals the committee used in considering options or tools for economic development. 4. Committee's Next Steps The next committee meeting was scheduled for July 9. Mr. Forbes thanked the committee for its hard work and said that he had enjoyed the camaraderie of the group.
