Phlnney, Gretchen Pierce, Joshua <br /> Proudfoot, Marvin Re'Voal, Rusty Rexiu~i Jana Rygas, Kathy Smith, Ellen <br /> Teninty, Craig Wanicheck. <br /> <br />Staff: Planning and Development Director Tom Coyle; Ann Munroe, Mike Sullivan, <br /> Denny Braud, Richie Weinman, Planning and Development Department; Terry <br /> Moore, Anne Fifield, ECONorthwest.~ <br /> <br />Guests: Lew Bowers, Jim Johnson, Rich Li~ton, Brian Obie, Hugh Prichard, Russ Brink. <br />Absent: Kartar Khalsa, committee member. <br /> <br />Welcome <br /> <br />Mr. Forbes called the meeting of the Mayor's Committee on Economic Development to order. <br />At his request, those present introduced themselves. <br /> <br />Approve Minutes From Meeting #1 <br /> <br />This item was on the agenda but was not addressed. <br /> <br /> Presentations from Local Experts Regarding Obstacles and Opportunities in Eugene <br /> <br /> Mr. Forbes reminded the committee that it agreed to invite the guest speakers that were <br /> previously involved in Eugene's economic development efforts to discuss obstacles and <br /> opportunities. He noted that some advance materials had been spent to committee members. <br /> <br /> The committee first heard from former Eugene mayor Brian Obie.
