<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Objective: Increase density of neighborhood commercial services: <br /> <br />Increase commercial zoning: Where appropriate, and particularly in areas with high <br />housing density but low levels of neighborhood commercial services, increase the <br />amount of commercially zoned properties in and around residential areas. <br /> <br />Ensure a mix of uses in new development: Ensure new developments provide a mix of <br />uses to allow residents in new neighborhoods access to services within a reasonable <br />walking distance and to prevent development of “stranded” residential neighborhoods <br />where residents are entirely dependent on automobiles to access services.
