<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Residential Population <br />The map of residential population is included for two primary reasons: Residential density can be an <br />important determinant of whether or not a residential area can support a neighborhood business. In <br />addition, it is important to understand the condition of infrastructure and availability of services near <br />where people live. For this map, residential population is estimated using 2000 census data and locally <br />collected data to estimate household size and vacancy rates based on demographics and structure type. <br />Page | 19 <br /> <br />
