MULTIPLE -FA�U Ly RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT ( APARTMENT HOUSE ). <br />'The following regulations shall - apply in - the R--4 Multiple-Family Resift� <br />dential District (Apartment House District ) <br />A. USE <br />No building, structure, or land shall be used, and no building <br />. .or-structure-shall be hereafter erected, structurally altered, enlarged, <br />=' or maintained, except for the following uses <br />1. Any use permitted in the R--3- Multiple -- Family Residential <br />. r <br />:..... District. <br />. 2 . Apartment houses J <br />3 . <br />Boarding-and lodging houses <br />4,P Clubs, lodges, and assembly halls (private, non-profit). <br />Fraternity or sorority houses <br />6i Hotels without stores .: <br />I <br />7. orphanages and charitable institutions <br />Public or private schools <br />9. Public parking areas when developed to conform to the <br />provisions established under "General Provisions". Section XXVI. ,B. , <br />100 Transitional use. Transitional uses shall be permitted in <br />the R - 4 zone where the sine of a lot abuts upon a commercial or Indus- <br />trial zone, provided that such transitional use does not exceed . more <br />than sixty -five (65 feet from the boundary of the less restricted <br />~ zone which it adjoins as follows; _ <br />a. Home occupation such as dressmaker, or lawyer, notary <br />- public, public accountant, artist, teacher, musician, principal <br />r <br />office of a physician or dentist, or the practice of any art or <br />craft of a nature to be conveniently and unobtrusively pursued <br />- in a family dwelling, providing the residential character of <br />the' dwelling is not changed. <br />� = b. outdoor nurseries for the growing, sale, and display of <br />trees , shrubs, and flowers <br />B. PARKING SPACE REQUIRED <br />There shall be at least one (1) permanently reserved parking space <br />or private garage on or within four hundred (400) feet of the site, or <br />attached to- or made a part of the main building, for each dwelling. <br />Such parking or garage space shall be provided at the time of construc- <br />tion of the main building, and additional parking spaces shall be pro- <br />vided when additional living units are added.
