<br />An estimated 900 local National Guard members have returned home from deployment overseas in the past several <br />years. Many returning veterans and their families need help with safe, secure and affordable housing so they can start <br />or resume college, find a job, or take other steps to build a career. <br /> <br />The project has received the support of many local businesses, service agencies, youth and sports groups and <br />hundreds of volunteers.
