7. Other Public Facilities <br /> The Agency is authorized to participate in development of public facilities including <br /> City Hall, police and fire facilities, libraries, recreation centers, conference facilities, <br /> and community centers. These facilities will benefit the renewal area by increasing <br /> public usage of the area, by enhancing protective services, and by stimulating <br /> additional public and private investment in the renewal area. OFF-SITE FACILITIES <br />To encourage the development or redevelopment of private property within the plan <br />area, the Agency may construct, install, pay for, or otherwise cause certain off-site <br />public facilities to be installed or provided when, in the public interest, such action would <br />benefit and further the objectives of the plan.
