Fig. 3 <br /> <br />* Includes all cases including dismissed <br /> <br /> <br />Demographics <br />Using the implementation of the DPSZ as a mid-point, a three-year period before and after was reviewed <br />to identify any significant difference in activity in within the boundaries of the zone. Gender, race and age <br />were all analyzed. Despite the increased number of offenses following the adoption of the DPSZ <br />Ordinance, there has not been a disproportionate impact on the gender of the offenders. Males, who <br />committed 82.5 percent of all offenses in the DPSZ, increased by 6.6 percent the number of offenses they <br />committed in the three-year period after the start of the program. Females increased by 10.4 percent the <br />number of offenses they committed after the start of the program. <br /> <br />Fig. 4 <br /> <br />Page 6 of 16 <br /> <br />
