<br />ATTACHMENT A <br />M I N U T E S <br /> <br />Eugene Council Committee on Intergovernmental Relations <br />Council Chamber—Eugene City Hall <br />777 Pearl Street—Eugene, Oregon <br /> <br /> March 6, 2012 <br /> 4 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Betty Taylor, George Poling, members; Mayor Kitty Piercy; Intergovernmental Relations <br />Director Brenda Wilson, Jessica Mumme, City Manager's Office. <br /> <br />ABSENT: Mike Clark, member. <br /> <br /> <br />1. Call to Order and Review Agenda <br /> <br />Mr. Poling called the meeting of the Council Committee on Intergovernmental Relations (CCIGR) to order. <br /> <br /> <br />2. United Front Federal Priorities Agenda & Trip <br /> <br />Mayor Piercy agreed to represent the City on the United Front delegation. <br /> <br />Ms. Wilson reviewed the City’s 2012 Proposed Federal Priorities. She reminded the committee that there <br />were currently no earmarks at the federal level. She said the City would continue to seek assistance in <br />identifying funding for projects to remind Congress that we still need assistance but its major focus would be <br />on policy and reauthorizations. <br /> <br />Responding to a question from Ms. Taylor about potential funding sources for purchasing the Beverly <br />property, Ms. Wilson indicated a new program, the US Forest Service Community Forest and Open Space <br />Conservation Program, might be a possible grant source. She said she would ask Natural Resource <br />Manager Eric Wold to look into the possibility. <br /> <br />Ms. Wilson reviewed Projects that Need Funding. Responding to a question from Mayor Piercy about the <br />status of the post office, Ms. Wilson said if the project was not on Lane County’s project list she could add <br />it to the City’s list. <br /> <br /> <br />3.
