Attachment A <br />Rental Housing Code Staff Report – April 18, 2012 <br /> <br />Since the adoption of the code, staff has worked on 152 cases that met the criteria necessary to <br />be formal complaints. Cases are distinct from the day-to-day contacts in that they were not <br />resolved with communications between the owner and tenant. Of the 152 cases, financial <br />penalties were only assessed in three instances to compel owners to take action. The following <br />chart provides a breakdown of the number of cases for each calendar year. Below that is a <br />further breakdown showing cases and breaking them into the different type of violations.
