ORDINANCE NO. 20493 <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LOCATION OF CITY HALL AND MUNICIPAL <br />COURT; AMENDING SECTIONS 1.010 AND 2.772 OF THE EUGENE CODE, <br />1971; AND PROVIDING AN IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1 . The definition of "City hall" is added in alphabetical order to Section 1.010 of <br />the Eugene Code, 1971, to provide as follows: <br />1.010 Definitions and Rules of Construction The following definitions and rules of <br />construction shall be observed, unless inconsistent with the intent of the council or <br />the context clearly requires otherwise: <br />City hall. The location where the offices of the mayor and city manager are located. <br />Section 2 . Section 2.772 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended to provide as follows: <br />2.772 Municipal Court - Location The municipal judge may hold court at the following <br />locations in the city: <br />(a) Eugene City Hall; <br />(b) Eugene Municipal Court, Roberts Building, 1102 Lincoln Street; <br />(c) Lane County Adult Corrections Facility, 101 West 5th Avenue; and <br />(d) Other such locations within the city as designated by the city manager. <br />Section 3 . The City Recorder, at the request of, or with the consent of the City Attorney, <br />is authorized to administratively correct any reference errors contained herein, or in other <br />provisions of the Eugene Code, 1971, to the provisions added, amended or repealed herein. <br />Section 4 . Pursuant to the provisions of Section 32(2) of the Eugene Charter of 2002, <br />with the affirmative vote of two- thirds of the members of the City Council, upon adoption by the <br />Council and approval by the Mayor, or passage over the Mayor's veto, this Ordinance shall <br />become effective immediately.
