Waterfest gives people with physical <br />disabilities, ages eight and older, the opportunity to try adapted waterskiing, <br />kayaking, and sailing. It will be held on July 20, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., at the Eugene <br />Yacht Club on Fern Ridge Reservoir. <br /> <br />The cost is $25. Pre-register online at www.eugene-or.gov/recenroll and use <br />barcode 99220 or register the day of the event on-site for $35. For more <br />information, call Patty Prather at 541-682-5311. <br /> <br />Teen Summer Reading at Eugene Public Library <br />The free Teen Summer Reading Program at the Eugene Public Library helps local middle and high school students <br />keep their reading skills up while school’s out. Summer Reading is a great way to learn new things, make new friends, <br />and have fun. <br /> <br />Teens can visit any Eugene Public Library location – Downtown, Sheldon, or Bethel - to sign up <br />and pick up a calendar of free events. At sign-up, each teen gets to choose a free book courtesy of <br />the Friends of the Library. Teens can also enter a free raffle for gift certificates by writing book <br />reviews at the Library website. <br /> <br />The summer is filled with activities for teens at all Library locations, including hands-on art and <br />writing workshops, movies, gaming, and a talent show.
