To qualify, these organizations had to meet four
criteria: 1) have an income of over $100,000 per year; 2) provide programs year
around; 3) provide significant benefits to Eugene residents and/or visitors, and 4) not
receive any other financial support or gifts in-kind from the City. The grants program is
coordinated by Lane Arts Council.
"Thousands of Eugene families as well as visitors are impacted by these arts groups
each year," says Cultural Services Director Robb Hankins," and the City providing
financial support for its cultural organizations is absolutely essential." Grant recipients
include dance companies, poets, puppet groups, theaters, glass schools, choirs and
more.
