Attachment D: Text responses from consumer plastic bag ban survey <br />biggest source of bacterial contamination between production and consumption of raw food <br />I'm pretty good at remembering to bring my own bag, but sometimes I forget, at which point I use <br />no bag or plastic bags. <br />Your form does not allow "Check All That Apply" to be used. Items 1, 3 and 4 apply for me. <br />I want the plastic bags to carry out the garbage. None are wasted. <br />The store does not ask what type of bag I want, and then pops it in a plastic bag before I can stop <br />them (e.g. Safeway) <br />Sometimes buy more than my reusable bag(s) will hold. <br />The bags are unsanitary. <br />i reccyle them and use them at home with carrying things to and from friends houses <br />Sometimes i forget them in the car but I am making an effort to buy more reusable bags and <br />getting in the habit of always using them. <br />I re-use the plastic bags <br />take out food from restaraunts <br />there stupid, i don't want to carry a re-useable bag <br />If I forget it I always ask for paper and then use this for my recyclables at home <br />I have seen people with filthing bags, I just leave the store and all the germs behind. <br />i use store plastic bags to pick up after the dog, carry things to friend's, temporary storage <br />I reuse the plastic bags for household use to line my trash cans, pick up dog waste, carry things to <br />other locations, to name a few uses. <br />cant check all that apply... forget reusable bags at home or in vehicle <br />Most reusable bags are not washable, and when washed they quickly fall apart. <br />I like using plastic bags....................Hate reuseable (not clean and a pain to use......... <br />Reusable bags are inconvenient. I like having the single-use plastic bags at home for other uses. <br />I use the plastic bags as trash and dog waste bags. Otherwise I would then have to buy plastic <br />bags for these purposes. <br />I don't drive so put some items in plastic bags in my backpack, and the rest in one canvas bag. I <br />put the plastic bags inside the canvas bag, othewise it would often be a huge mess of melted ice- <br />cream, leaking watermelon juice, etc. Plastic bags make shopping on foot easier. Much easier to <br />carry than paper. Seems like not using cars is better for the environment, than not using plastic <br />bags. They do make biuodegradable ones, why not use those? <br />I have them and use them. <br />Not clean, cost money, take up too much space, forget them at home or in car, like to reuse <br />plastic bags from grocery store at home <br />Forget them and they are not clean <br />I use reussable bags over and over.....Garbage, holding items to take to St. Vincent. Good will. <br />etc. <br />I don't carry bags around with me in case I decide to shop in Eugene. <br />Nothing prevents me. I keep bags in my car and have a system to get bags back to the car once <br />bags used. <br />I have other uses for the plastic bags.
