Attachment D: Text responses from consumer plastic bag ban survey <br />Plus women at the Luthern Church are crocheting them into sleeping mats for the homeless, <br />hopefully this will catch on. <br />Occasionally employees are so fast to bag I feel like a jerk making them take it out...so I take the <br />bag :( <br />My reusable bags are already occupied at the moment. This happens only rarely. <br />Most are manufactured in China. Also I do reuse the single-use bags. <br />inconvenient and potentially dangerous bacterial contamination <br />Formatting will not allow multiple selections. I don't have reusable bags, they are too expensive, <br />and are not clean. <br />check all that apply doesn't seem to keep the selections <br />but forgetting occurs very seldom, and we usually hand carry purchases when it does happen <br />need disposable bags for garbage, litter box clean-up, etc.........not everyone can compost, etc. <br />I reuse plastic bags for garbage bags in my cans at home, then I don't have to buy additional <br />plastic bags for that purpose. <br />They are unsanitary! <br />They are unsanitary. <br />Question 5: Please describe what you do with single-use plastic carryout bags you <br />receive: <br />the only ones I throw away contain my household trash! <br />We ocassionally use them when we clean our chinchilla's cage. We put the old bedding inside <br />and then dispose. <br />Use as garbage bags instead of buying plastic for purpose <br />use them for pet poo then into the garbage <br />Dog poo! <br />I have dogs. I pick up after them when traveling. I know alot of folks with dogs. <br />I'm saving them for after the collapse <br />only throw away if damaged or torn - normally recycle <br />I reuse grocery bags at home as trash bags and recyling bags and then recyle them <br />use for dog poop bags as needed (I do this only when necessary) <br />i use them to clean up after my dog. <br />Use to clean-up after dogs when in the park and/or on a walk <br />Pick up dog waste <br />Reuse as small trash can liners <br />reused for pet waste collection <br />When I receive them from others, I save them and use them for packaging wet things or cat poop <br />from the garden to get put into the outside trash. <br />Use for cat litter - then throw away <br />Burn <br />Reuse for garbage bags at home <br />Reuse is often doggy poop bags! <br />the ones I throw away are used for pet waste <br />We never purchase plastic garbage bags, but use 100 % of our one time use bags for ALL our <br />trash. If these are banned, I will have to BUY plastic bags that are heavier and costly, then use <br />them instead.
