Attachment D: Text responses from consumer plastic bag ban survey
Donate to women who crochet sleeping mats for the homeless
Reduce, reuse, recycle. Reusing is just as good as recycling!
There shouldn't be single-use with anything. Something that lasts hundreds of years should not
be single-use
Reuse as wast bags for wast cans
I use them to bag up cat litter and the occasional disposable diapers.
use as trash liners
some are used to hold kitchen garbage, then go in garbage can
reuse as many times as possible
re-use and then use as a garbage bag
I refuse them.
tear both handle open, tear bag into two flat pieces, throw away
I hardly use single-use plastic bags. I don't like them. Terrible for the environment.
If they are contaminated with a possible pathogen (poultry blood from store) they go to the trash.
Otherwise I reuse reuse reuse then recycle.
I mostly reuse the bags until their unusable. Then they're recycled.
Often reuse for cleaning up pet waste
I try to use them once then recycle or throw away until they are too gross
I don't use them but I occassionally have company that might bring some over and depending on
what I use them for then I reuse and throw away or reuse and recycle.
Throw away ,to much hassel to recycle at store.
reuse in the home for everything! use in wastebaskets, for garbage for cat litter etc.
I like to use them as trash bag liners.
sometimes the bag is too dirty to recycle or reuse
once in a blue moon my husband will bring home a plastic bag, I put dog poo in it and trash it.
always reuse if I don't rip them, then they go in recycling at store
use for domestic garbage, for dog waste at dog parks
Use as trash liners in my apartment. Also use for cat litter clean up.
This applies to things purchased in plastic, such as bread.
All get reused (as garbage bags), then thrown away full of garbage
only throw away ones in contact w/raw meat
a. to being groceries home & b. to use for garbage.
my dog (scoop the poop)
don't use
Use them as trash bags in small trash cans
Sanipac claims they can't recycle the bags. We wash & reuse (repeat).
Use for cat litter, garbage bags, etc.
uSE THEM TO TAKE OUT THE GARBAGE
pick up pet poop
Since I am reusing them to pick up dog doo, I throw them away with the dog doo.
picking up dog poop on walks
reuse as under the sink garbage bag
We use them for dirty diapers when outside the home. Otherwise we recycle them.
if i ever accumulate too many, i take them to White Bird or to the library for reuse.
My top 3 reuses - why it results in them finally being trashed: Reuse as trash can liners, as dog
poo scoopers, & to put items in I give to others (e.g. St Vinnies)
How can they be recycled? Sani pac doesn't take them & dog poop is throw away
refuse them
