Attachment D: Text responses from consumer plastic bag ban survey
Easy to recycle and these bags are not single use. They can be utilized for many other purposes.
Creative people do some amazing things with plastic bags, but I agree with those who want stores
to stop giving them out to bag groceries et al. Too many people use them thoughtlessly and just
toss them in the trash.
Maybe not MORE, but make them more obvious. I walked past the ones we use many times
before I even noticed them, so I'd stuff my car trunk until I went to the Glenwood site.
More locations to recycle bags and other plastic misc stuff
Most garbage collectors do not accept them in the household recycle bins but they should.
I don't think we need to use them!
Ban the bag.
It would be handy to recycle them curbside, like everything else--if that's possible
Curbside
LEt
on site recycling locations for all retail locations using single-use plastic bags
No, just don't use them.
Or at least more information about how/where
SaniPac should collect them.
Just get rid of them. we don't need them
More information to the consumer, might motivate more of them to recycle. Make it EASY.
Self compliance and education is enough.
I never know where to take them.
Better to carry your own reusable bags. We would do this more consistently if plastic was no
longer available . Europeans have done this forever.
Yes, if you're not going to ban them!
it's always good to have lots of recycling options, but the bottom line is: we can do without the
bags entirely (i'll figure out something else to transport dog poop with).
I would prefer that plastic bags be outlawed
It would be good if dirty bags were recyclable
They should be included in curbside recycling. I have bins and bags full of plastic bags but I never
remember to bring them anywhere to recycle them. They are a nuisance, and harmful to our
environment and to wildlife.
More places to recycle
Being able to put them in the curbside recycling bin would increase the number of plastic bags I
recycle.
A lot of plastic bags get thrown away
Would be best not to use them at all.
They should be banned, it's ridiculous they're horrible for the environment & retailers can always
offer paper or reusable if someone forgets to bring their own reusable ones. Plastic bags are
horrible anyways, the typical ones offered at the grocery store only hold a couple items &
everything falls out as soon as you put it in your trunk. Why would anyone ever use them.
more locations that accept ALL types of plastic film bags and wrap
Need more recycling bins all over town, not just in grocery stores.
If they could be put in the recycling cans provided by garbage haulers, more people would recycle
them.
Yes, that would be nice.
No opinion
Recycling anything should be as easy as possible for the citizens to use. You'll encourage more
participation by offering easy alternatives to a garbage can.
