Turner, author of a <br />book of historical Eugene photographs for the “Images of <br />America” series, will give an illustrated talk about photographs <br />and photographers documenting the city for the past 150 years <br /> <br />(pictured). <br /> <br /> <br />Writer and directorTim McIntosh will present an original play, <br />“Our Town, Eugene,” on First Friday, Oct. 5, at 6 p.m. Unfolding <br />as the city changes over the years, it tells a story of competing <br />ideals and clashing hopes under one roof, with a cast featuring <br />Jay Hash, Nancy Hopps, Richard Leebrick, Jorah LaFleur, Dan <br />Pegoda, Andrew Poletto and Haley Washington. <br /> <br />Each Sunday at 3 p.m., the Downtown Library’s Family Fun <br />series will focus on various aspects of Eugene. On Oct. 7, kids <br />and family are invited to make a mural imagining a future Eugene <br />with Sharon Kaplan of the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art. Esther Stuzman will tell Kalapuya stories, traditional tribal <br />tales of the original inhabitants of the Willamette Valley, on Oct. 14. Lauren Willis and the marionettes of the University <br />of Oregon’s Museum of Natural and Cultural History will be entertainingly educational on Oct. 21. And, on Oct. 28, join <br /> <br />a folk song sing-along with Adam Miller, a renowned American folksinger and natural-born storyteller. <br /> <br />For more information, contact the Eugene Public Library at 541-682-5450 or www.eugene-or.gov/library. <br /> <br />Oregon Facilities Authority Comes to Eugene <br />The Oregon Facilities Authority (OFA) is the state agency that helps nonprofit §501(c)(3) organizations access low- <br />cost financing for the purchase, construction and renovation of facilities, and refinancing of debt for those purposes. <br />OFA will hold an informational session to help nonprofits and bankers learn more about its program in Eugene on Oct. <br />3, 2012. <br /> <br /> <br />( <br />Oregon Facilities Authority has several programs for nonprofits. The Small Nonprofit Accelerated ProgramSNAP) <br />Bond program is of special interest to both nonprofits and bankers. This is a low-cost, streamlined way for nonprofits to <br />access bank real estate loans at low-interest rates and for banks to serve their nonprofit customers with attractive <br />rates. The average SNAP Bond amount is about $2 million.
