Mr. Poling accepted the two sentences in question as a friendly amendment to the motion. Ms. Solomon <br />concurred. The final motion read: <br /> <br /> Moved to approve the use of up to $15,000 in contingency funds for the commer- <br /> cial/industrial land study recommended on page 8 of the report of the Mayor's Economic <br /> Development Committee, contingent upon the City Manager's approval of an Intergov- <br /> ernmental Agreement with Lane County and the City of Springfield that (1) addresses the <br /> selection of an independent contractor, and (2) ensures that the study is consistent with <br /> State requirements for such studies, including considerations of both vacant and signifi- <br /> cantly under-utilized lands. The survey will draw upon existing data together with the on- <br /> the-ground verification of current uses and availability.
