Santa will be attending breakfasts at Petersen Barn and Amazon Community <br />Centers in December - join the fun and don’t forget to bring a camera! <br /> <br />Kids of all ages are invited to sit down to breakfast with the jolly old elf himself. He’ll be <br />at Petersen Barn Center on Dec. 8, from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. On Dec. 15, he’ll visit two <br />breakfasts at Amazon Center, one from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. and another from 10:30 - <br />11:30. Each breakfast costs $5 per person. <br /> <br />Pre-registration is required and should be done soon because this event usually fills up <br />fast. For more information, call Janet Whitty at Petersen Barn Center at 541-682-5521 <br />or Gina Tafoya at Amazon Center at 541-682-5373. <br /> <br />Human Rights Commission Co-Hosts Celebration <br />The City of Eugene Human Rights Commission, in cooperation with the <br />Lane County Network for Immigrant Integration, will be hosting an <br />International Human Rights Day Celebration on Wednesday, Dec. 5, from <br />5:30 - 8:00 p.m. in the Atrium. The theme of this year’s event is <br />Immigrant Rights = Human Rights. <br /> <br />Everyone is invited to participate in this community-centered event <br />featuring a proclamation from Mayor Kitty Piercy, remarks from <br />Springfield Mayor Christine Lundberg, keynote address by Ibrahim <br />Hamide, a video premier showcasing local immigrant voices, and the first <br />annual Human Rights in Action youth awards. Local service agencies <br />will also be available and there will be music and appetizers. <br /> <br /> <br />For more information, contact the Equity and Human Rights Office at 541-682-5177. <br /> <br />Stock Up for Winter: Used Mystery Novel Sale at Public Library <br />Mystery lovers: it’d be a crime to miss the Friends of Eugene Public Library’s Used Mystery Novel <br />Sale on Sunday, Dec. 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Downtown Library.
