Bob Halligan is Board President and is on the Executive Committee and Industry Sectors Committee. Jerry Stiltner and Dave Hauser serve on the Industry Sectors Committee. Diane Wiley serves on the board's Communications Committee. The Workforce Investment Act of 1998 requires that local workforce investment boards, i.e., the Lane Workforce Partnership board of directors, be comprised of a majority from business. Business representation must be owners of businesses, chief executives, or operating officers of business or employers with optimum policymaking or hiring authority; represent businesses with employment opportunities that reflect the employment opportunities of the local area and; are appointed from among individuals nominated by local business organizations, i.e., the Eugene Chamber, and business trade associations. We are requesting the Eugene City Council reappoint Bob Halligan, David Hauser, Jerry Stiltner and Diane Wiley to serve on the Lane Workforce Partnership board of directors from January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2015.
