<br />ATTACHMENT A <br />M I N U T E S <br /> <br />Eugene City Council <br />Harris Hall, 125 East 8 Avenue <br />th <br />Eugene, Oregon 97401 <br /> <br />December 12, 2012 <br />12:00 p.m. <br /> <br />COUNCILORS PRESENT: George Brown, , Betty Taylor, Pat Farr, Mike Clark, Chris Pryor, Alan <br />Zelenka, Claire Syrett <br /> <br />COUNCILORS ABSENT: George Poling <br /> <br />Her Honor, Mayor Piercy called the December 12, 2012, work session of the Eugene City Council to <br />order. <br /> <br />A. <br />PUBLIC HEARING and ACTION: Ordinance Temporarily Allowing "Conestoga <br />Huts" Where Camping in Vehicles is Now Allowed <br /> <br />Mayor Piercy opened the public hearing and, seeing no one requesting to speak, closed the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION AND VOTE: Councilor Brown, seconded by Councilor Taylor, moved that the City <br />Council adopt Council Bill 5083, an ordinance temporarily allowing “Conestoga Huts” where <br />camping in vehicles is now allowed. PASSED 6:0 (Councilors Poling and Farr absent) <br /> <br />B. WORK SESSION: City Hall Update <br /> <br />City Manager, Jon Ruiz introduced the item and asked Central Services Executive Director, Kristie <br />Hammitt to provide background and current information. <br /> <br />Councilor Farr arrived at 12:12 p.m. <br /> <br />MOTION AND VOTE: Councilor Brown, seconded by Councilor Farr, moved to direct the City <br />Manager to complete analysis for the rebuild and build new options for City Hall on the current <br />City Hall site. PASSED 5:2; councilors Clark and Syrett opposed. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilor Clark, seconded by Councilor Taylor, moved to favor rebuild option as <br />opposed to the build new option. PASSED 5:2, councilors Clark and Syrett opposed. <br /> <br />MOTION TO TABLE: Councilor Zelenka, seconded by Councilor Syrett, moved to table. <br />FAILED 2:5; Councilors Clark, Taylor, Farr, Pryor and Brown opposed. <br /> <br /> VOTE ON MOTION: FAILED 3:4; councilors Zelenka, Syrett, Farr, and Pryor opposed <br /> <br /> <br />The work session adjourned at 12:45 pm. <br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES – Eugene City Council December 10, 2012 Page 1 <br /> Work Session <br /> <br />
