MINUTES <br />Eugene City Council <br />Bascom Room, Eugene Public Library <br />100 W. 10th Avenue, Eugene, Oregon 97401 <br />January 7, 2013 <br />Noon <br />COUNCILORS PRESENT: George Brown, Mike Clark, Chris Pryor, Claire Syrett, Betty Taylor. <br />Councilors Zelenka and Poling via conference phone. <br />Her Honor, Mayor Piercy called the January 7, 2013, meeting of the Eugene City Council to order. <br />A. Appointment of Interim Ward 6 City Councilor <br />Councilors expressed that both candidates were qualified, experienced, and both have a wealth of <br />skills and assets to contribute to the council. Several councilors urged the candidate not chosen for <br />this opportunity to become involved with the Budget Committee and /or to run for the Ward 6 seat <br />in May. <br />MOTION: Councilor Brown, seconded by Councilor Taylor, moved to appoint Tony Brandt to <br />replace Pat Farr. <br />Councilor Clark, seconded by Councilor Poling, moved to substitute Greg Evans.
