Determine the total estimated audience spending by multiplying the average per person expenditure for <br />the City of Eugene by the total attendance to nonprofit arts and crrltuI'e events°, <br />2. Divide the resulting total estimated audience spending, by 100,00; arid <br />3. Multiply thct Figure by the FTE employment ratio per ;$ 100,01)0 for the City of Eugene. <br />Thus, 25,000 tithes $17.18 (from the bottom row of data on Table 2 on the pmeeding page) equals $429,500; <br />$429,500 divided by 100,00 equals 4.30; 430 times 107 (from the tap row of data on Table 3 on the prmeding, <br />page) equals a total of 13.2 frill -time equivalent jolts supported (both die -ectiy and indirectly) within the City of <br />Eugene by that nonprofit aria and culture nrganization. Using the same procedure, the estimate can be calculated <br />for° resident household income and local and state ; government revenue, <br />Making Comparisons with Similar Study Regions <br />For the purpose of this research project, the geographic region being studied is defined as the City of Eugene, OR, <br />According to the most recent data available from the U.S. Census Bureau, the population of the Cl[y of Eugene <br />was estimated to be 150,1114 during 20111.
