The final motion read: <br /> <br /> Moved to approve the use of up to $15,000 in contingency funds for the commer- <br /> cial/industrial land study recommended on page 8 of the report of the Mayor's Economic <br /> Development Committee, contingent upon the City Manager's approval of an Intergovern- <br /> mental Agreement with Lane County and the City of Springfield that (1) addresses the se- <br /> lection of an independent contractor, and (2) ensures that the study is consistent with State <br /> requirements for such studies, including considerations of both vacant and significantly un- <br /> der-utilized lands. The survey will draw upon existing data together with the on-the-ground <br /> verification of current uses and availability. This survey would also evaluate opportunities <br /> for redevelopment and assembly of available parcels to determine how the use of existing <br /> land might be maximized.
