House Bill 3453 <br /> <br />Mr. Hill presented the bill for discussion to the committee. <br /> <br />Mr. Poling, seconded by Mr. Clark, moved the City adopt a Priority 2 Oppose position. The vote on the <br />motion was 2:1; Ms. Taylor voted no. <br /> <br />Mr. Clark <br /> <br />House Bill 3326 <br /> <br />Mr. Whitmill presented the staff recommendation of a Priority 1 Oppose position on the bill as it is written <br />with the understanding that there are many factors that need clarifying in the bill prior to anything that <br />would likely move forward. After discussions about potential unintended consequences, Mr. Poling, <br />seconded by Ms. Taylor, moved to adopt the staff recommendation of Priority 2 Oppose position. The vote <br />on the motion was 2:1; Mr. Clark voted no. <br /> <br />Mr. Clark <br /> <br />House Bill 2267 <br /> <br />The committee was presented with a copy of the staff recommendation of a Priority 2 Support position on <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Clark, seconded by Ms. Taylor, moved to adopt the staff recommendation of a Priority 2 Support <br />position. The motion passed unanimously, 3:0. <br /> <br /> <br />3. Items from Members and Staff <br /> <br />Committee members were presented with two matching grant application requests one for Oregon Parks <br />and Recreation that would assist in funding for the Washington Jefferson Skatepark, and the second for the <br />2013 Carol White Physical Education Participation Grant. <br /> <br />Both grants received unanimous approval by the committee. <br /> <br />Discussion was started about both potential successes and areas fo <br />process. Further discussion will continue throughout the pilot and a recommendation will be made to <br />council at the conclusion of the legislative session. <br /> <br />The next CCIGR meeting is tentatively scheduled for April 17, 2013.
