While we would prefer not to change our address, we have chosen not to oppose
the SMJ name proposal; we will not submit a competing name: "4th Avenue".

With that choice comes the expense of transitioning from our current address to a new one. As a
private, non-profrt:, family research organization, this strains project budgets. We are a mUlti-prOject
organization of approximately 25 separate projects of various si;:es, some With their own letterhead,
business cards and other addressed materials. Reprinting and associated costs will affect each project to
Some extent. We will absorb these costs over a period of time and do not request relief from the City for
this purpose.

'lve do submit for your consideration the cost estimate for the repainting of our large, east-facing building
sign. Attached you'll find the estimate of $185.00 from the same reputable company that originally made
the sign. We are confident that their estlmCjte is fair. We ask that this cOst be considered a part of the
City's cost for the 3r<J'4L'1 Connector project.

We are addressing this letter to you, as prescribed by your office. However, we note that the Shelton-
McMurphey Jchi1scn Associates ha\fe directiy addressed their letters to the~1ayor and City COuncilors.
We ask that you forw'ard copies of this letter to those offices or any others COncerned with this project.

Thank you for your consideration of this request.

Sincerely,

~:~~~~iP)v

Dianna Larsen and Max Kessler
Co-Chairs Facilities Resource Management Committee
Oregon Social Learning Center

Happy New Year from Oregon Social Learning Centerl
