Shelton was known for his public spirit, being greatly involved in the social and economic life of
Eugene during the last quarter of the 19i1i Century. His impact on the fabric of early Eugene was comparable to
that of that other early pioneer, Eugene Skinner.

It would be a fitting tribute to this truly great Eugene Pioneer to name the street directly south of the
land he once owned for this early community doctor, T. W. Shelton.

Sincerely,

~~

~

Grounds
Board

Hahn Neimand
President
S1fj Associates

Cc: (with enclosures) Dennis Taylor, City Manager
Cc: (without enclosures)
Kurt Cory, Director, Public Works
Susan Muir, Director, Planning & Development
Angel Jones, Director, Rec. & Cultural Services

12 enclosures

,( :

14
