<br />BrlA Le M \A..L t, J <J...r) <br />PH', P'\a:::, PrQ.)~ct- +- <br />Pn t>r\~ G. ~1- <br />4-( I() I Db <br /> <br />January 27, 2005 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />Before the membership of the Hendricks Hills Homeowners Association at <br />its annual meeting. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Eugene is considering a potential land transaction <br />that would place approximately 120 acres of developable land in the Laurel <br />Valley area (the "McDougal Property") outside the urban growth boundary; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the 120 acre ridgeline parcel is a unique natural habitat <br />comprised of western hemlock, conifer, oak and hardwood savannah <br />connecting Moon Mountain and Hendricks Park natural areas; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said transaction would include acquisition of the parcel by the <br />City as a natural reserve allowing for future expansion of the ridgeline trail <br />system; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Hendricks Hill PUD directly abuts said property and its <br />residents as a result are most directly affected by any future development. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT: <br /> <br />RESOL YED that the Hendricks Hills Homeowners Association and its <br /> <br />membership strongly support any action of the City Council to limit future <br /> <br />development through the acquisition of this unique parcel as a natural <br /> <br />preserve outside the UGB. <br />
