AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 20508 TO EXTEND THE <br />TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF MULTIPLE UNIT PROPERTY TAX <br />EXEMPTIONS UNDER SECTIONS 2.945 AND 2.947 • THE EUGENE CODE, <br />1971, THROUGH AUGUST 31, 2013. <br />A. The City's Multiple Unit Property Tax Exemption Program under Sections 2.945 <br />and 2.•47 • the Eugene Code, 1971 (the MUPTE program), which is enabled by state statute, <br />was first implemented by the City in July of 1977. Since its initial implementation, the MUPTE <br />program has been modified various times. <br />B. On February 27, 2013, Ordinance No. 20508 was adopted suspending th <br />MUPTE program until July 1, 2013, to allow Council time to evaluate the MUPTE program an <br />determine whether changes should be made to the program. <br />Section 1. The findings set forth above are adopted. <br />Section 2.
