VOTER INFORMATION <br /> <br /> General Voting Requirements <br /> <br />To register to vote you must be: <br /> a resident of Oregon; <br /> a United States citizen; and* <br /> 18 years of age or older.* <br /> <br />* You may register prior, if you will meet this criteria before the election; contact Lane <br /> County Elections for more information. <br /> <br />In order to vote, you must be registered to vote by 5 p.m. of the 21st day immediately <br />preceding the election. <br /> <br />You must update your registration if: <br /> · your name changes for any reason; or <br /> ,, your residence or mailing address changes for any reason; <br /> <br />Please call Lane County Elections at (541) 682-4234 if you have any questions about the <br />above qualifications. <br /> <br /> Absentee Ballots <br /> <br />Registered voters who want their ballots mailed to an address other than their registered <br />residence address may apply for an absentee ballot from Lane County Elections. Apply <br />in person, by mail, or by fax (541) 682-2303. Applications are available on the Lane <br />County Elections web site, http:llwww.co.lane.or, uslelections. Applications must <br />include: <br /> your residence address; <br /> the address to which the ballot should be mailed; <br /> ,, for which specific election(s), or all elections, you wish an absentee ballot; and <br /> ,, your signature. <br /> <br /> You may file an application for an absentee ballot at any time prior to the election; <br /> however, absentee ballots will not be mailed to voters whose applications are received <br /> later than the fifth day before election day.
